House MD & Smallville, download deal ~ read if you download either show... Options

I'm Tempset. creator of the following torrent packages(torrent files):

HouseM.D. Complete Season 1
HouseM.D. Complete Season 2

As you may or may not know:
House Season 3 episode 1 airs tuesday at 7pm central standard time.(the day AFTER labor day).

Smallville season *6* episode 1 airs on 9-28-06. (that's later the same month taht House airs)

In an effort to better serve those who download ANY of the above torrent's, I'm wanting to make all leechers(and possible future seeders) a deal.

For the fan's of HouseM.D.
Monday (labor day) and Tuesday i will shut down ALL of my download's and upload's except for the HouseM.D. seasons listed above. This will allow ALL house fans to possibly get caught up.

For those who aren't able to download the entire seasons in time for the new House episode on Tuesday - i recommend simply downloading ONLY the episodes you really DO need (or haven't seen) by telling your respective torrent clients which files within these torrent packages NOT to download so that your torrent client may focus in on ONLY the episodes you haven't yet seen.

For the fan's of Smallville
Because the new season of smallville STARTS on 9-28-06, I will be shutting down ALL of my upload's and download's with the exception of the smallville season torrent uploads that i seed.
The following 5 days will be seeding ONLY the following torrents in respective order.

9-23-06 (saturday) ONLY Season 1 of Smallville will be seeding
9-24-06 (sunday) ONLY Season 2 of Smallville will be seeding
9-25-06 (monday) ONLY Season 3 of Smallville will be seeding
9-26-06 (tuesday) ONLY Season 4 of Smallville will be seeding
9-27-06 (wednesday) ONLY Season 5 of Smallville will be seeding

On 9-28-06(Thursday), the new season6 begins - so i will once again bring ALL 5 seasons back online for stragglers.


I hope this helps anyone who's really trying to keep up and just isn't making it.

For all those people out there who don't really care about catching up before the new season begins - hang in there cuz i'll be obtaining episodes as they air and I'll compile and release the new seasons as they end.

I need to add a quick little note to the above post. This download deal works BEST if (the leecher/downloader) STOP all the other downloads you have currently running so that your preferred House or Smallville season will obtain it's best speed...

Don't do it if you don't want to - but the only way you'll finish FAST is by focusing in on ONLY the downloads you care more about.

These aren't my copies. I did not record them. I will not take credit for someone else's work. What I did was compile all the episodes to each season and put them in their own nice, easy to handle packages. And, unlike other torrent creators, I plan to seed them LONG after everyone's had their fair downloading share ~ not just until i see a few seeds have picked up the weight so i can move on.

Instead - when each season if finished and completed - I will then post the entire season in 1 torrent package that will stay seeding for a very long time.
(we're talking possibly 1-2 years from now ~ last checked i was at 2months and 9 hours for season 2)

That's a large reason why I've chosen to host it for such a long period of time. It's just so catchy.

At first, my mother-in-law called Hugh Laurie<sp?> (the actor who portrays Gregory House)
"inhumane" and "disgusting".

She's now hooked and watches it religiously now. If she miss's an episode - she asks me to help her out.
(she's still kinda clueless as to how I keep supplying her with interesting things to watch).

My fiance has even convinced her boss to close up shop about 10 minutes early on tuesday's JUST so she
can rush over to the boss's house ~ cuz she lives so close to the shop ~ and catch it on TV.

Yeahhhh.....that torrent doesnt exist. I could use some help here if anyone can. My girlfriend is addicted to this show, but she missed episode 1 of season 3. I want to get it for her for her birthday (it sounds cheap, i know, but if you could hear her go on about wanting to get it youd understand). This site is the ONLY place that seems to have season 3 episode 1 available for download. The link you gave, tempset, doesnt lead to a torrent. Thanks though. Can someone help me to get it? And perhaps tell me how to make it into a quality DVD? That second part is going a bit far, but who knows....maybe someone here is knowledgable and feeling helpful.

Oh. I hate to be a bother, but, the main problem is this: Once I click download, and save it to my computer and all, nothing happens. I open it, and it brings up utorrent, which then tells me it is inactive, not downloading, has an ETA of infinity, and does nothing. I dont know how to get the actual EPISODE on my computer!!! Any recommendations?

Sounds like your firewall might be blocking utorrent, check that utorrent has full permission to access the internet and to act as a server. Also check that the windows firewall is disabled if you are using a software firewall.

Well, I looked into that. Nixay on the firewall. Utorrent was an exception, but i turned it off anyways.

I used the torrent you suggested, and it downloads nicely. I doubleclick it, i topens utorrent, and is on the list. It says "downloading" but also says 0kb/s for both...

WTF!!! I just went back to see what "both" was, specifically, and its going! You're a miracle man. I'll post back for any further help. But really, wish I could return the favor. Too bad I'm useless for computers and you probably don't need an accountant. I'm just kidding, I'm only 16. Thanks A LOT.

The converting to DVD should be pretty straightforward, don't use your computer for anything else while it's converting to reduce the risk of errors and audio sync problems, and burn at a slowish speed (4x is good for video). Good luck.

One last question. It finished downloading, I've got Nero (is version 6 fine, or do I need a higher one for that tutorial to be relevant, I don't know how many versions have been released since then). Ok, two last questions lol.

Now that it's finished downloaing, could you please explain the whole "seeding" thing? Can I not burn the file to a dvd until it finishes seeding? What IS seeding? The thing that threw me off is that the ETA time for seeding keeps changing, from 58m, to 53m, to 1h, to 1h1/2, etc...

I'm sorry, I guess that's....3 questions, total. Thanks.

Nero 6 is fine so long as you have the one with the dvd plugin (try it and see, if it hasn't then it will only let you make a VCD, in which case it would be a good idea to download a full copy of Nero 6 or 7 from mininova).

I always stop my files from seeding while I'm converting to DVD, just press stop in utorrent, and then once the converting is done (it will probably take about an hour) press start again and leave it to seed until the ratio column says 1.000 or more (so that you have uploaded as much as you downloaded).

The ETA thing is the time until the seeding goal (which is probably set as 150%, I think that's the default), don't pay too much attention to that, just seed until it gets to 1.000 or more and then you can stop it or leave it longer, whatever you want to do.
