This is just a sorta public service / general warning note. The author of the Bitroll client software has been using some extremely sh*tty tactics to get people to download the software. He (or she?) has been uploading fake torrents, password protecting them in RAR files, and then forcing people to download and install Bitroll to get the password -- which doesn't work, because the torrent is a fake in the first place.

Also, Bitroll comes packaged with some spyware.

I was stupid, fell for this idiotic scam, and now I'm just warning the rest of you, so you can avoid the same fate.

We need to send a clear message to the authors of Bitroll that you can't "trick" people into using your software.

Don't use Bitroll.

Never heard of it. Thanks for the warning.

Please report any torrents you see which ask you to install this and we will delete them.

I was reading somewhere that the many ad companies on the internet are using the BT protocol to get folk to install there crappy ad filled software, folk don't know it till they finish the download. It specifically mentioned the use of archive files (rars), another reason to avoid them for me but I do anyway.

Thanks for the warning. I checked out their site, and boy... they sure are lacking a lot of details on the site. It just doesn't look legit.

I have seen a couple other bit torrent clients that were evil as well. Sometimes the only thing we can do is warn others before it's too late.

thanks for information..Somehow from yesterday evening I was not able to connect Net because of this spyware / virus.

Please don't install BitRoll.

Don't have exact solution. To get rif of this problem,

I have uninstalled some recent software.
Tried to open all softwares which i normally use and found that one mock exam simulator is not able to open.

So I have uninstalled that one and removed the registry..and now able to ocnnect to Net..

Torrent which I have downloaded is ::
Torrents\Casino Royale (2006) PuKKa TELECiNE KvCD by Hockney(TUS Release).rar.torrent

CODE
http://tracker.speedtorrent.to:2710/announce

size :: 687.04 MB.

To Moderator,

I think we should have some comments about movie before downlaoding that it's corrupt files / something.

As I use desitorrents.com. It's amazing as Users continuous give the feedback once downlaoded.

Here so many users download but after all we get corrupt files.

Thank You.

Please can you give a link to the torrent so it can be deleted if it hasn't already gone - find it on mininova and copy and paste the url from the address bar like
CODE
http://www.mininova.org/tor/123456

Desitorrents is a private tracker, this is a public dump site. It is up to the downloaders to comment on the files and report problems. Approximately 1000 torrents are uploaded here every single day, there's no way we could check each one.

Hey there,

call me an idiot but I've got the same problem as other users. I've downloaded the new saw.rar, included in the file, the bitroll program. Ever since, popups keep comig every time I open a new IEpage.

I've ran several scans (AdAwere, Spybot, Windows Defender,Antivir Guard)they mentioned something about HitList. I've deleted it,but the popups keep coming...Anyone have an idea?

I don't know where to post corrupted files, so I think to put here:
